Dear followers,
Today is the last day that I will write on this blog because it was only temporary for my study. I want to thank you all for reading my blogs everyday and for the interest you had for my stories. I really hope you enjoyed reading my blogs and also learned something from it and maybe look at things differently for examples at Marketing and Sales.
This was the first time I wrote a blog and I liked writing it. Maybe in the future I am going to write a new blog with a new subject.
When that time has come I will post the link here on this site, so you can follow my new blogs and like them just as much as you like these entries (I hope)

Good afternoon followers,
In this entry I would like to tell you something about a subjects that I get in the last two blocks of the school year. The subject called financial management and organization.
I don’t know exactly what to expect from financial management, but I think I am going to like it. I like figures and mathematics so I think that I will be good at it. I hope that we learn something about the finance when you start you own business and how to handle it. Maybe also what you can do if your company is not doing so well at the moment. But maybe it isn’t about the finance of you own business, maybe they learn you how to save the financial situation of another company I really don’t know but I am looking forward to it!
Organization An organization is a social group which distributes tasks for a collective goal. The word itself is derived from the Greek word organon, itself derived from the better-known word ergon as we know `organ` and it means a compartment for a particular job. That I know, but I know what to expect from the subject organization. Maybe they are going to teach us how to build up a good organization but I don’t know. I do looking forward to it.

Dear followers,
In this entry I would like to tell you something about my subject Business Communication, but I call it English myself.
Business communication is a very useful subject for our study because we need to understand, speak en write English very well in the marketing world.
In the first block we learned the basic rules of the English grammar. We need to know this for example for writing down a letter to a client from abroad. English grammar is very difficult I think but I am glad my grate was a 6.0.
In the next block of English we practiced English speaking en we also learned some words which are related to marketing in some way. The speaking will be tested by an oral exam. The exam will take place in groups of three and you need to discuss about a subject with each other.
I don’t like English speaking, but I know it is very useful, not only for the study but for almost everything.

Today I am going to tell you something about mathematics.
I don’t think I can explain you what I have learned at my mathematics lessons because it is very difficult to explain. But I can tell you what mathematics is and what I think of mathematics.
Mathematics is a formal science whose usual definition is the study of patterns and structures. With strict logical reasoning makes statements about mathematics defined objects and formulates the relationships between them. The formal argument showing that the theorem is true, is called a mathematical proof. In preparing a proof is based on several assumptions and some 'axiomatic definitions.
Mathematics is a very complicated subject, if you don’t like it I think it is a hell to understand! But fortunate I like mathematics and I am good at it! I hope I will stay good at it in the future.

Commutation and langue

Dear followers,
In this entry of my blog I am going to tell you something about my subject communication en langue but I call in Netherlands myself.
In the first block of the years we had to assemble with our class every week. Every we had to come to a conclusion as fast as possible. The first time it was very hard, nobody knew exactly what to do or to say so it toke a long time to come to a conclusion. It keeps getting better every week and we also got a syllabus with meeting techniques. I really liked the lessons and I did well I think.
In the second block of the year we learned how to give a good presentation. Every lesson we had to give presentation . In the first lesson we had to give a presentation with three other people but after that you had to do it all by yourself. After your presentation you classmates gave you feedback. They told you which things you did well and which things you have to improve. Some presentation were filmed so you can look at yourself later en see how you did it and what you can do better.
I liked the lessons a lot and learned much from the presentations. Look at yourself giving a presentation is a good way to improve your presentation skills, at least it worked for me!

Good morning followers,
Today I want to tell you something about my subject economics and what economics is. We had Economics only in the first block of the year just to refresh your mind because we had learned all the things already in high school.
By economics it is all about the needs of the costumers. Economics is a science that deals with the production, consumption and distributionof scarce goods and services. Analogous to other social sciences, the economicsare not only concerned with descriptive knowledge, or how the economy works, but in political economy with prescriptive knowledge, how certain situations can be achieved.
I think that one block wasn’t enough to fresh all those things of economics because there were so many different subjects.

Good afternoon followers,
Today I want to tell you something about my subject market research.
For Market Research as the name says you have to do research for the things you want to figure out. Before you can do some research you have to make a plan. In this plan you have to put some information in a row. First you have to write down what your motivation is for the research. After that, you have to write down what the problem is you want to investigate. Then you have to state the main question, the answer of this question should be answered by sub questions. After that you have to write the purpose of the investigation. And last of course the conclusion of your investigation.
Market research is also very useful in the marketing business. It is a subject that you just have to practice a lot the become very good in it. I like the subject but until now I am not very good at it and really need the practice more. But when you are good at it, you can make a lot money I think

SUM project

Hello followers,
This time I want to tell you something about a project we have had in the first two blocks of the school year. The project calls SUM it means Supermarket project.
For the SUM project we worked in groups of four and every group got their own product.
Once a week we had a meeting with our group and one meeting with our business mentor who was our marketing teacher so he could help us if we had problems and give us feedback.
We had to pretend we were project managers. We were hired by a food manufacturer and have been assigned for the product to consider whether the Dutch market has opportunities for product innovation. We had to investigate this by means of assignments and research. The assignments that we had to make connected to the marketing lessons we have had in the same week, so that was very useful
Our product was Coca-Cola. I really liked the product because everybody know the product and I drink cola myself so it was very interesting to do some research for coca cola.
The conclusion of your project was that Coca Cola is unhealthy but people don’t even know what ingredients are in it and they have never experienced symptoms themselves. So there is more to be gained for coca cola
This project was very useful because we had to pretend that we were product managers, so we could see what it’s like when we are graduated our study and become product manager or something like that. We know what kind of things we could expect.

Good evening followers,
In this entry I would like to tell you something about my subject Law and I am going to explain you something that I have learned. I had only had Law for two blocks of this school year, just to learn the basis of the law.
In the first block of this school year I have learned that there are two types of law: public en private.
The public right rules regarding the relationship between citizens and government. Private right describes the rules in a relationship between people. It is very useful to know the difference between those two because there are two law books, one with the public rights and one with the private rights. I don’t know if you have ever seen those books but they are very thick so it is very useful if you want to search for something in those books. Of course you can divide Public and private rights into many different categories but I'm not going to tell that over here because than my story will be very boring. But if you really want to know it, you can sent me an email.
In the second period of this school year a guest speaker visit us at school. He worked for the Heart of the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property. He told us something about for example: How to differentiate your products or services from others. This can be through your brand. A brand is more than just a company logo. And there are so many rights to determine a logo. This was very useful for us future commercial economics because maybe some of us will setting up their own business and then you should have sense of such things.
So my opinion about law is that it is very useful for us future social economics and maybe two blocks is too little because we only know the basics know, but there are so many other things that will be useful to know in our study.

Hello followers,
In this entry I want to tell you about my second most important subject: Marketing and Sales but let’s just say Sales.
In the beginning of the school year every student of Commercial Economics had to choose a specialization to decide in which direction they want to graduate at the end of the study. There were three specializations you could choose:
1. Marketing, media and entertainment management
2. Marketing and Sales
3. International marketing
I choose the Marketing and Sales direction because as I told you before I worked in a clothing store for two years before I studied commercial economics and I really like selling so I thought this was a good continuation for me.
So what have I learned from my Sales teacher so far? I have learned that Sales is the oldest profession in the world. A very long time ago people didn’t had money so they exchanged products from each other. Now a day there are so many things that deals with sales. And there a so many sales methods and tasks inside the sales department. There are four sales systems: personal selling, retail, vending and distance selling. I don’t think I have to explain this because it is very clear.
I think that people think way to easy about selling, it is not just selling but there are so many other things involved.

Good morning followers!
Today I want to tell you something about my major Marketing.
When people say marketing the first thing you think of is advertising, at least that is what I thought. But in the first lesson of marketing my teacher told us “marketing is not just advertising, it’s so much more than that”. So I want to give you the correct description of marketing:
Marketing includes the on the market-based development, pricing, promotion and distribution of products, services or ideas, and other activities where customers added value, which systematically lead to higher sales and other desired response, a good reputation of the organization, and a sustainable relationship with the target groups. Instead of customers searching for your products, you develop the right products for selected customers. The market is the starting point in decision making.
I really like marketing, I think it is very interesting and useful in my study. The things we have learned at marketing are also very useful for my other subjects like Sales and Market research. Till so far I would like to work in the marketing business but first I need to learn all the basic rules of it and according to the book there are a lot of rules because it is a very very thick book!

Dear followers,
First of all I want to say thank you for following my blog. I have never written a blog before so it is totally new for me. In this first entry I would like to introduce myself to you en tell you what I am going to talk about in the next eleven entries of my weblog.
So, let me introduce myself! My name is Shalini and I am twenty years old. I live in Zoetermeer it is a city next to The Hague. In secondary school I studied havo, and after my graduation I started working at a clothing store for two years because I didn’t know yet what I wanted to study. After two years of research I finally knew what I wanted. And since the beginning of this school year I finally started with my study: Commercial Economics. Till so far I really like the study and I want to share it with you. I am going to tell you something about the subjects I have had until now, what I have learned from it en my opinion about the subjects.
So now that you know a who I am and what I am going to talk about, I hope you read my blogs en you like it!
