Barber entered Sunday a perfect nine-of-nine in third- and fourth-and-1 rushing attempts on the season but he was 0-for-2 against the Jaguars.

Don’t be bothered by the details. They had 22 carries vs. Jacksonville and 13 vs. the Giants, but it’s a stretch to find anything positive about a running game that has been fruitless for much of the year. Felix Jones had 22 yards on eight carries. Marion Barber had 16 yards on nine carries and Jon Kitna had 12 yards on five carries.

It is the third time this season the Cowboys did not rush for more than 50 yards in a game. They had 36 yards on 20 carries vs. Chicago in the home opener.

If you’re looking for a bright spot from the Cowboys’ running game it’s this: they gained more yards Sunday (50) on the ground than they did last week vs. the New York Giants (41).
