Taylor Swift dons tiny hotpants as she rocks out onstage with Keith Urban and Tim McGraw at CMA Music Festival

She went from demure to vampish at the Country Music Television awards on Wednesday night.

And it appears playing the vixen is where Taylor Swift feels most comfortable.

The 23-year-old showed off her long legs in tiny black hotpants as she performed onstage with Keith Urban and Tim McGraw at another country music event, this time at the CMA festival in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday.

The singer looked to be in her element as she threw her head back while strumming on her red glittering guitar, her hair billowing around her as she sang.

Taylor paired the high-waisted hotpants with a sleeveless white lace blouse that she tucked into the waistband of her shorts.

She wore crimson red lipstick and styled her ash blonde hair in loose waves over her shoulders.

Taylor told reporters prior to her performance at the week-long festival that she's ready to start working on new music less than eight months after release her fourth studio album Red.

'It's starting,' she said. 'All the anxiety is starting. When the anxiety starts, the writing happens right after, usually.'

But Taylor said the process takes time.

'Whatever I write in the first year is going to get thrown away,' she said. 'I'm going to like it, but it's going to sound like the last record. The second year usually sounds like the next project.'

'I think you need to change up your influences. I think you need to be inspired by different things than you were inspired by before,' she added.

The pop and country star has hit the news this week following her spirited performance the previous night as well the release of her new music video for her single Everything Has Changed.

Taylor wore an ethereal cream sequined dress on the red carpet at Wednesday's awards show before changing into a skimpy black-and-red number for her performance onstage.

Meanwhile, the video for her new single - a duet with Ed Sheeran - debuted this week, and enlists a couple of cute mini-me lookalike children to play out their roles.

Ray Ban Glasses with our whole life

Many people are aware of the fact that Ray Ban 8000 Series has been designing quality sunglasses for a very long time. They were designed for Lieutenant John MaCready, who wanted to protect his eyes from the sun while still looking stylish. They were then manufactured to be very light, and became popular with the Army Air Corps of the United States. What many do not know, though, is the fact that there are also Ray Ban glasses. These are designed for everyday use, and are able to be fit with prescription lenses in order to provide corrected vision.

The Company

The company is really known for their frames, which are sometimes designed of carbon fiber. The reason that this material was selected is because it is strong and very lightweight. The goal was to be able to provide frames that would be very comfortable but at the same time resistant to damage. By using carbon fiber, which is flexible, this is possible. Other materials that they use for their frames are Memo-Ray and titanium. The latter are designed to be nickel-free, corrosion-resistant, hypoallergenic, and acceptable in most types of environments. The Memo-Ray, like the carbon fiber types, are designed to be very light and very strong.

The Materials

The glasses that are designed by the company are exclusively sold in brick and mortar stores and cannot be purchased online. They come in a variety of styles, from the standard dark rectangular frames to the more round styles to the rimless types. Some have frames that are designed to look like sunglasses, such as their transparent frames with black temples. The glasses are also available in a plastic material, as well as metal and titanium. They are available for both men and women, and there is a junior collection for children.

Ray Ban Glasses

The sunglasses that have been created by Ray-Ban have proved to be very well designed over the years, and the Ray Ban glasses are no different. If you are looking for a quality pair that are built to be sturdy and fashionable at the same time, then you might consider getting them to hold your next prescription lenses. You can also wear them solely to accessorize. To see the lowest online price, See Below Now.

"It was under the faithful direction of our concerned military leaders that I went to the law enforcement to seek the proper protection for my family, our commanders, and top U.S. officials.

Awkward! Jesse Eisenberg branded a 'jerk' after mocking blogger in cringe-worthy interview

The Social Network star Jesse Eisenberg has been branded a 'jerk' after an awkward interview with a blogger.

The 29-year-old created a rather tense atmosphere for a younger interviewer as he promoted his new film Now You See Me.

The actor mocked host Romina Puga while appearing on her Univision show, Say My Name With Romina.

And it might be put down to his dry sense of humour initially, Romina says she was left feeling 'humiliated' and felt her self-esteem had been 'butchered'.

In video published via her blog, Jesse seems immediately ready to criticise her techniques, hardly allowing her to complete her first question after she refers to actor Morgan Freeman by his last name only.

‘Freeman? Who are you? What are you on a baseball team with him?’ the thespian confidently laughs, causing her to nervously giggle.

Romina clearly tries to move the interview in a more light-hearted direction by playing a magic-debunking game with him.

During the 'trick', Romina revealed some notes jotted down on her palms, giving Jesse more material to poke fun at her.

‘You wonder what it’s like to work with Morgan Freeman and you can’t remember that?’ he mocked.

‘Don’t call Morgan Freeman, “Freeman” like you’re on a little league softball team.’

As he prepared to show Romina how it’s done with a card trick, he dubbed her the ‘Carrot Top of interviewers’ due to her use of props.

The famously orange-haired comedian’s usual routine incorporates dozens of props which he describes in one line before throwing it away as part of the typical joke.

Obviously upset by the comparison, she told Jesse she was going to cry, to which he responded ‘Don’t cry now, wait until after the interview is over because otherwise I’ll look like I’m responsible for it.’

Even though the brunette let him know he was indeed the reason behind her feeling sad, he commented, ‘I don’t want to know that though…. I said your name into the camera what else do you want from me?’

Asking him to speed up his chat so she could leave the session faster, he hit back ‘Hey, you’re on my time here.’

Despite her mustering together some enthusiasm for his unskilled trick, Jesse provided backchat throughout.

The clip ended with more rude musings from Jesse as he only very softly spoke her name into the camera, a request all interview subjects are asked to do.

After bombarding Romina with a series of questions about how the material will be used and being directed to use volume as if trying to find her in a crowd, he reluctantly carried out the task.

‘The thing is I actually didn’t want to find you I was hoping to stay alone,’ he chuckled.

'You're suck a jerk,' she responded.

Romina later put up a blog post titled 'Jesse Eisenberg isn’t very nice'.

'So, I was just humiliated by Jesse Eisenberg,' she wrote.

‘When the five minute “interview” (more like self-esteem butchering) were finally over I went behind a curtain to wait for the memory cards from the interview.

‘I peeked around the curtain to ask Jesse about his neighborhood in New York (he lives a few blocks from where I used to live) and he immediately says, “You’re still here?”’

Jesse seems to be an expert at smart remarks according to Wikipedia.

In 2006 he came up with an idea for a simple website where people could respond to a daily wordplay topic in an attempt to ‘one-up’ each other in the cleverness of their response.

People actually view the owner as an elite individual so owning a Hermes Birkin bag gives a wonderful feeling. By giving her Birkin bag as a gift, she will be delighted with the extravagance that she deserves.

Hermes Birkin bag UK maybe expensive but its price is really justifiable. Though pricey, the bags are considered as good value for money as they maintain the long-established and remarkable craftsmanship that Hermes is known of. This is truly the perfect gift for her so do not think twice, buy it at once and you will see her smile widely as she take it out from the wrapping!

Why the Hermes Birkin Bag Costs So Much Money

I was recently reading an article about Victoria Beckham's style, and one of the things mentioned was her Hermes collection. The article also stated that she pays tens of thousands of dollars for each bag! I guess that's like pocket change for posh spice, but it made me think about the obscene price of these bags and why this is so.

If you look through eBay, the average Hermes Birkin bag costs between $7,000 and $12,000. And this is without any custom-made features! How can this be? It all comes down to craftmanship. Birkin bags are made out of the finest and most exotic leather and precious metal, and they are hand made by craftsmen in France. It actually takes around 48 hours just to make one, so this is why the waiting list is years long.

Typically, the exterior features of a Birkin bag are made out of leather or crocodile skin, but crocodile skin tends to cost way more because the saltwater crocodiles they use aren't easy to come by. The interior lining is manufactured from goat skin that is specially tanned to match the color of the exterior. The signature lock, keys, buckle, and feet studs that adorn the bags are also made with precious metals such as gold or palladium.

Despite the fact that an Hermes Birkin bag is expensive, I would still highly recommend purchasing one because it is one of the few bags that actually appreciates in value over time. Usually, a bag only retains resale value as long as it is considered to be an "it" bag. In this case, you can spend $5,000 on a brand new birkin and expect to resell it for a hefty profit.

Still got her Goldie glow: Hawn laps up the sun as she wanders around Madrid sightseeing with a girl pal

She may be 67 but one thing's for sure, Goldie Hawn still has her golden glow.

The actress looked the picture of happiness and health as she lapped up a sunshine break in Madrid on Friday.

Goldie was joined by an equally blonde girl pal as they headed out for some sightseeing around the Spanish city.

She had been wearing a black zip up top as she strolled along the streets, but after feeling the afternoon sunshine she soon took it off to reveal a charcoal vest top underneath.

Hawn finished off her casual city look with jeans tucked into matching grey knee-high boots.

She wore a tan coloured leather handbag across her front and shielded her eyes from the rays with some shades.

Goldie wore her iconic blonde locks down and wavy with her fringe hanging loose.

And she certainly made the most of her time on the girls' getaway as the pair wandered in and out of several shops.

She was obviously taken with something as she was spotted leaving one store with a gift bag in her hand.

They chose to dine al fresco outside one eaterie, where they were seen sipping on glasses of wine.

But they were soon on their way again as they made the most of their day.

She was last spotted earlier this month enjoying some quality time with her long term partner Kurt Russell, 62, and her grandson Ryder in Malibu.

Goldie's 34-year-old daughter Kate Hudson had Ryder while married to ex-husband Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes.

Kurt and Goldie first met when he was 16 and she was 21, before reconnecting on the set of Swing Shift in 1983.

The REAL reason I didn't call Katie Couric back after our first date, by Jeff Probst

Katie Couric revealed this week that she once went on first dates with Full House star Bob Saget and Survivor host Jeff Probst - but neither ever called her again.

Now the guys have given their take on their experience with the TV journalist and talk show host, now 56.

In an endearing email to Us Weekly, Probst revealed a mutual friend first tried to set them up in 2001, but 'the timing never worked out'.

It wasn't meant to be: Katie Couric and Jeff Probst have both given their take on their first - and only - date

The 51-year-old continued: 'A few years later the same friend connected us again and this time the date was set. The next time I was in New York we would have dinner.'

Not interested: She also went to dinner once with Bob Saget

'What I remember most about the date is how nervous I was and how little I offered to the conversation,' Probst recalled.

'It was like I forgot how to go on a date. Like I was 14. We talked a bit about her kids and the challenges of being a parent to teenagers, and we talked a bit about our careers and lifestyles but we never got much beyond the surface."

He insists he 'would have definitely asked for a second date' and added that 'it wasn't lack of interest' on his part.

'The only reason I didn't call back was the date was set up through her assistant and I never got her number. It felt weird to call her assistant for a second date,' he said.

'So it never had a chance to be a romance. Who knows what might have been? But it's a date I definitely remember! I mean, come on, it's Katie Couric!'

Probst, who is currently shooting Survivor: Blood vs. Water, went on to marry to Lisa Ann Russell, 41, in 2011.

Full House star Saget, 57, also chimed in on his first and only date with Couric.

'I did a benefit with Katie Couric in New York and I went to dinner with her,' he told Us Weekly on Thursday.

'She's a lovely person and we had a good time. I've seen her many times since.'

He revealed that Couric 'gave me a hard time' about his lack of interest.

Happy with her new guy: Katie took banker John Molner to a charity event hosted by Bette Midler in New York on Thursday

'She told it on a talk show and I think she told it again,' Saget said. 'I think she's out of material.'

Couric, who has two Caroline, 17, and Ellie, 21, with her late husband Jay Monahan, is now in year-long romance with NYC financier John Molner.

She spoke about her one-time dates with the Hollywood stars in an interview with Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show on Wednesday.

'I can't say that I was devastated that neither called me back,' she said.

'I thought they were both nice guys... I don't think there was real magic there with either [of them], but I enjoyed spending time with them.'

The former boy band member - who produced Love Wrecked in 2005 which stared the actress - revealed he holds grave fears for Amanda.

And the 27-year-old is far from happy about it.

The Disney star posted on Twitter late Thursday: 'I ignored Lance Bass on twitter and now he is saying I have a mental illness.

'Sorry you're an ugly ex boy band member w/ no talent or career.'

The star then went on to claim she is not friends with the former *NSync member and his comments were sending her 'crazy'.

'I haven't spoken to Lance Bass in 11 years,' she wrote.

'To say I have a mental illness out of nowhere makes me lash out! You're making me crazy!

Amanda's comments come after Lance told Las Vegas radio's Mark and Mercedes show on Wednesday:  'I'm actually really scared for her, and I hope someone is able to get to her to give her the help she needs.

'It's one of those situations where obviously there's some mental problems there and she's not able to see that. We all are [able to see it].'

Lance certainly has support from those living in Amanda's high rise apartment building.

The residents of the Midtown building, The Biltmore, have described living with the actress as 'like living with Linda Blair in The Exorcist.'

A resident told the New York Post: 'She stares you out in the elevator. Residents are terrified to be alone with her.'

Amanda has also accosted people in their homes, the paper reported.

'She knocked on one woman’s door, and when it opened, she screamed ''You’re ugly,'' and ran away.

'Amanda always seems to be alone, muttering to herself and looking completely out of it.'

The resident said the star often behaves bizarrely lobby, elevators and public corridors.

'The day before her arrest, she arrived in a cab and ran upstairs, leaving the driver shrieking that she owed him $150. She left her cellphone in the cab. The good news is, she hasn’t been seen in the building since her arrest.'

Police were called to the complex on May 23 after management reported Amanda was allegedly behaving weirdly in the foyer and smoking what they believed to be a joint.

Disappearing act: Amanda's neighbours have not seen her since she was arrested in the building on May 23

Police then arrested the star for unlawful possession of marijuana as well as reckless endangerment and attempted tampering with evidence for allegedly throwing a bong out of her apartment window that smashed on to the street near pedestrians 36 floors down.

After a psychiatric evaluation and a night in jail, Amanda was released pending a July court date.

The star is believed to have since fled Manhattan and was spotted in Upstate New York on Wednesday. The former child star attended a trampoline park in Buffalo New York.

Amanda was photographed jumping, smiling and running around the indoor complex but on Thursday denied it was her on Twitter - despite numerous witnesses and the exercise centre confirming it was.

Cheers to us! Beyonce posts picture from boozy date night with husband Jay-Z... and puts an end to pregnancy rumours

She's obviously still Crazy in Love.

And who can blame her? Beyonce has such a perfect match in the successful, talented and always charming Jay-Z that the 31-year-old can almost be forgiven for uploading this smug picture of the pair enjoying date night.

She did have an ulterior motive, too, by posting a shot of her glugging down wine, Beyonce has shot down those second pregnancy rumours once and for all.

So happy together: Beyonce posted this picture of her enjoying date night and wine with Jay-Z on her Tumblr

In the first shot, Beyonce looks radiant as she leans her head into her husband wearing a hoodie and a really comfortable, self-assured smile.

Her lips are fire engine red and her hair is gently wavy -  shot through with blonde.

The 31-year-old's husband, 43, wears his snap-back cap backwards and gazes into the camera.

In a second upload, we see Beyonce's patterned legs and that she's sitting on Jay-Z's knee.

In this shot the mother-of-one is chugging from a big glass of wine that surely has an impeccable pedigree.

Her rapper husband looks on with a chuckle as the vino goes down.

She seemed to have recovered her spirits after being furious that H&M Photoshopped images of her for its new swimwear campaign.

According to a source, the singer refused to allow the fast fashion chain to use airbrushed photographs that downsized her famous curves, and so originals were used for the worldwide campaign instead.

'I've had no helping hand in Hollywood': Isla Fisher on being rejected by husband Sacha Baron Cohen's OWN agent as a struggling actress

She's married to one of Hollywood's most-famous, if not controversial, actors and comedians.

But Isla Fisher has revealed that being Mrs Sacha Baron Cohen hasn't exactly given her a leg-up on the career ladder.

Discussing her rise to super-stardom, the Great Gatsby actress admitted her husband's own agent even once refused to represent her when her career was struggling somewhat.

Rise to stardom: Isla Fisher has revealed that being Mrs Sacha Baron Cohen hasn't given her a leg-up on the career ladder, and she's had 'no helping hand in Hollywood'

Rise to stardom: Isla Fisher has revealed that being Mrs Sacha Baron Cohen hasn't given her a leg-up on the career ladder, and she's had 'no helping hand in Hollywood'

Speaking in a an interview with the July edition of British Cosmopolitan, she explained: 'I really have had no help. In fact, the one time I did ask for help was after my agent in LA fired me. I was auditioning for all sorts of things but kept getting told "no", so she just fired me!

'So anyway, I said to Sacha, who was my boyfriend at the time, "Can you ask your agent if they’ll represent me?" And his agent said, "No way". It was the only favour I’d ever asked, and I was like, "OK… great". But it spurred me on.

'I’ve had no helping hand in Hollywood. But in general I’ve found that when it comes to getting jobs, what’s meant for you can’t pass you by.'

In spite of the 37-year-old actress experiencing tough points throughout her career in the movie industry, she believes it's important to remain 'in tune with your femininity'.

She added: 'Women should not have to adopt masculine traits in order to succeed. You should be able to stay as a woman, and in tune with your femininity and still be equal. Women one hundred percent support each other in the movie industry.

'I auditioned for a movie recently and when I went in, the producer said he’d told one of its stars, Naomi Watts, that he was auditioning me and she’d said, "She’s so funny, she’s a great actress – you should hire her". What a lovely, kind and supportive thing to do for another woman.'

Happy couple: Isla has two daughters, Olive, five, and Elula, two, with Les Miserables actor Sacha Baron Cohen

And while Isla, who is mum to daughters Olive, five, and Elula, two, may seem to have the perfect life from the outset, she has conceded that it's simply not possible to have it all.

She added to Cosmopolitan magazine: 'It’s a myth that you can have it all. You can’t. But, more importantly, I don’t think you should want to. It sounds exhausting!

'I’m just dipping my toe back into work now. It’s a juggling act and I’m not particularly good at it; the balls are in the air. But my priority is always my family. Motherhood boils everything down to the essentials.'

After mastering motherhood and a successful acting career, next on the horizon for the former Home and Away star is writing a screenplay with her own mother.

Isla explained: 'My mum and I have actually been writing a script for a thriller together. It’s really fun.

'She doesn’t understand the rules of screenwriting, so I’m often like, "What?! Mum, you can’t kill off the protagonist on page 10!" She breaks all the rules, which makes it original at least. We’ve had a scream doing it.'

Known for her strong comedic roles, the Oman-born beauty admitted her humorous side came about as a result of being an outsider at school.

She reasoned: 'I went to something like six different schools before the age of 12, so I was always the new girl and had to make friends quickly. It was difficult at the start because I was very bookish – I was literally sat in the corner reading books, with no friends.

'So I learnt to be funny and to take the piss out of myself in order to ingratiate myself. I think it’s one of the best skills in life.'

She'd better be ready for love! Virgin beauty queen saving herself for marriage makes final round on reality dating show

Angela Zatopek

Proud to be a virgin: 25-year-old Angela Zatopek, who is a finalist on dating reality series Ready for Love, is saving herself for marriage

A former beauty queen who is saving herself for marriage is one of the final contestants on reality dating series, Ready For Love.

Angela Zatopek, 25, who competed in the Miss Texas beauty pageant in 2012, defends her status and claims people these days tend to see virginity as 'taboo'.

'A virgin doesn't mean being a prude,' she told The Houston Chronicle.

'I go to Vegas. I go to parties. I have fun.'

Miss Zatopek, who has worked as a reporter for CBS college sports, was the youngest of 12 women vying for the heart of 31-year-old Ben Patton, one of the TV show's three bachelors.

The finale, in which Mr Patton will choose either her or the other finalist, Allie Wagner, will air next Tuesday.

While she can't give away his ultimate decision, Miss Zatopek hopes her appearance on the series, which airs on NBC.com and Hulu, will inspire other women who have made the same life decision.

'There's not a lot of people who can understand waiting until marriage,' she said.

'I know the right person can appreciate that.'

Some may criticize her decision to participate in the dating competition, which is the brainchild of executive producer by Eva Longoria.

But Miss Zatopek says it has taught her a few things about herself.

'Keep an open heart, have an open mind in the process and stay true to who you are,' she said.

'A lot of young girls are pressured to be physical. We should guard our hearts for the right person.'

Miss Zatopek made her intentions clear to Mr Patton from the get-go, and so far, after eight episodes, she has yet to be eliminated.

In the most recent show, she even invited Mr Patton to her hometown of Houston, Texas, where he met her entire family.

Miss Zatopek told Cupid's Pulse that being a virgin has never hindered her love life in the past.

'Before the show, I didn't have a problem finding a date,' she explained.

Finalist: Miss Zatopek (second right), who won the Miss Texas beauty pageant in 2012, has made it to the last two girls on the show, which airs on NBC.com and Hulu every Tuesday

Tension builds: On next week's finale episode, hospital CEO Ben Patton (left) will decide whether he is 'ready to love' Miss Zatopek (right) or Allie Wagner, the other finalist

'Being a virgin would never be the first thing I said to a guy, but I did let them know within the first couple of dates who I am and what I'm about.'

The University of Texas-Austin graduate is also about to launch a collection of purity rings and jewelry called One Love.

'Young girls are pressured to be physical. We should guard our hearts for the right person'

'We all go through let downs and disappointments,' she said of her inspiration for the rings, which start at $179.99 each. 'But you always have one love of God.'

The collection will also feature bracelets and necklaces, for both men and women, and Miss Zatopek is collaborating with reality stars Lisa and Brittny Gastineau on future designs.

Dozens of fans have showed their support for Miss Zatopek and her faith via her Facebook page.

Romantic mini-break? Blake Lively hides blonde mane under felt hat as she arrives at airport with husband Ryan Reynolds

She's just as well known for her mane of long blonde hair as she is for her acting skills.

But Blake Lively kept her trademark locks well and truly covered up at the weekend as she wandered through Berlin Tegel airport with Ryan Reynolds.

Wearing a wide-brimmed felt hat, the former Gossip Girl star would have been nearly unrecognisable, if it wasn't for her strapping Hollywood husband.

The 25-year-old, who had enjoyed a city break in Germany with her other half looked casual but just as stylish as ever as the couple headed home.

Despite hiding her face away under the wide-brimmed hat, Blake had clearly put some effort into her daytime look, pulling off a low-key style.

Showing off her slimline frame, the Green Lantern star wore a pair of super skinny drainpipe jeans, matched with a warm-looking white jumper.

She added a cropped brown leather jacket over the top and wrapped a chic multi-coloured chiffon scarf around her neck to protect her from the chilly Berlin weather.

But while Blake was clearly trying to do her best to go incognito, her film star husband didn't exactly look like he was trying to blend in as he strolled along next to her.

Opting against trying to disguise his appearance with sunglasses or a hat, the Just Friends star was instantly recognisable

Looking just as chic as his wife, the actor wore blue trousers, a white shirt and a beige grandad cardigan, being a gentleman by carrying the couple's bag.

Blake recently proved how different she is from her most famous character Serena Vanderwoodsen, embracing her inner domestic goddess for Vogue's online cookery show.

'Actually don't like the taste of alcohol, so I don't drink ... but I cook with so much alcohol,' she said on the video.'I like the rich velvety notes of it, without that medicinal kick.'

While the blonde starlet has yet to announce what her next work project will be, Ryan is set to start filming for Selfless as well as Highlander.

Wish there was a pill to perk up your grumpy hubby? There is... but it comes at a cost

Last Christmas, my girlfriend Jane decided not to get me a new iPod, as I'd requested. She didn't even buy me her usual underwear-and-socks combination gift.

Instead, I woke on Christmas morning and unwrapped a small box to find three silver foil packets, each containing 20mg green-and-yellow capsules of fluoxetine, also known by the name Prozac.
'Merry Christmas, darling,' she said.

I thought it was a joke at first - but one look at her stern face proved she wasn't laughing.
So why was my loving girlfriend of two years giving me Prozac, a drug usually prescribed for depression? What was her problem?

Her problem was me. For I have what therapiststerm 'anger issues' - what you and I might call an extremely bad temper.

'Why was my loving girlfriend of two years giving me Prozac, a drug usually prescribed for depression?'

'Why was my loving girlfriend of two years giving me Prozac, a drug usually prescribed for depression?'

When I wasn't shouting, I was silently seething or sulking. Anything could tip me over the edge. But that just made me a classic middle-aged grump, didn't it?

Admittedly, I was always anxious - about money, my career, growing old, my appearance. You name it, it made me anxious. My head was filled with gloomy thoughts, and I often felt melancholic.

As I turned the pill packet between my fingers, the reality of my situation began to sink in. Here I was, with a beautiful woman whom I had driven so far to the edge that she thought Prozac for Christmas was the only answer.

In the early days, I managed to hide my moaning, miserable side from Jane. She thought she was getting a funny, attentive, sweet and loving man. But it wasn't long before my dark side emerged.
It was only recently that Jane confessed she had harboured fears that something was seriously wrong with me for almost the entire length of our relationship.

Not long after we got together, my father died. Jane kindly offered to drive my mother, brother and me to the funeral.

You might imagine a death brings families together. Not mine.

We had long been a volatile clan, but tensions between us had grown as the years passed. It was made worse after the collapse of my second marriage in 2009.

'It was then that I looked at Jane's face and saw it: a look of fear and incomprehension, a realisation that the sweet man she was in love with was not all that he seemed'

'It was then that I looked at Jane's face and saw it: a look of fear and incomprehension, a realisation that the sweet man she was in love with was not all that he seemed'

Broken-hearted, I moved in with my parents for what was meant to be a short stay. Then my father, 87, had a heart attack, and I decided to stay on and look after him.

But my presence inflamed my mother, and we would have daily rows about everything from me using her kitchen at the 'wrong' time, to hanging out my underwear on her garden balcony to dry. She'd scream at me, I'd scream at her.

So, as we drove to the crematorium, Mother and I soon got into a fight.

I felt this was a day that should be all about my father. But Mother thought it should be all about her. She called me a 's*** of a son' and I called her a selfish cow. These were the more printable insults.
Suddenly, something inside me snapped. I lost it big time. 'Stop the car! Let me out!' I screamed.
And then I screamed, again and again and again, each time louder and more hysterical than the last. I shook from head to toe with rage.

'Jane confessed she had harboured fears that something was seriously wrong with me for almost the entire length of our relationship'

It was then that I looked at Jane's face and saw it: a look of fear and incomprehension, a realisation that the sweet man she was in love with was not all that he seemed.

From the first moment I met Jane at a friend's party, I thought she was the most attractive woman in the universe, and I the luckiest man in the world to have found her.

Yet now and then my inner maniac would come out. Romantic evenings would end suddenly with what Jane called 'The Cosmo Flounce'.

We'd be having a lovely time until Jane would say something that I took the wrong way. I'd respond with: 'That's it - I'm leaving! We're finished,' and flounce off into the night.

Jane put up with this for about a year before giving me an ultimatum: 'If you don't change, we're finished.'

And so we tried to change me. I started off on a weekend course in anger management, paid for by Jane. She came along to keep an eye on me.

We spent 48 hours hearing a roomful of angry people telling their life stories, confronting the ghosts of their past and bashing pillows while screaming: 'You bastard, you bastard!' or 'Mummy, I hate you!'

Then it was my turn. I was asked to summon up the pain of my past and take it out on the pillow.
It was ironic that I, who angered so easily, suddenly couldn't let it out. I felt intimidated that people were watching - so I faked an outburst, like a woman faking an orgasm.

It didn't last long: 'Here I was spending a fortune on dinner and she was moaning about a card! Nuclear was the only option'

Therapy didn't last long: 'Here I was spending a fortune on dinner and she was moaning about a card! Nuclear was the only option'

On the drive home, Jane and I had a row. I felt the whole thing had been a waste of money. After all, it had cost us more than £200 each.

We continued our quest. I tried yoga, meditation and chanting. I read books with titles such as How To Stay Calm and Destressing Your Life. Eventually, I sought professional help.

Therapy was very useful in understanding the roots of my fury and melancholy. I confronted the source: my relationship with my parents, whose unorthodox lifestyle (they were wild bohemians with an open marriage) had caused me much embarrassment and distress.

I would often find their lovers in our house the next morning - and so would my friends, who would give me a look of pity when they saw my parents holding hands with strangers.

I realised I could never get them to change their ways, but I did hope I could get them to compromise a bit.

On one occasion they were due to appear at my school, a tough working-class comprehensive. It was during the late Sixties and they had entered their hippy phase. I pleaded with my dad to wear a suit and for my mother to wear a bra. 'Please, can't you look normal for just one day?'

To the amusement of my classmates they turned up looking like the oldest swingers in town - my dad in black leather trousers and sandals with purple toenails, my mother in an Afghan jacket, miniskirt and 101 bangles.

But they could never accept the way I was. Instead of recognising my feelings, my parents casually dismissed them, branding me 'uptight'. And so the seeds of an anger that followed me into adult life were sown.

'While I'm still taking Prozac, I'm only having one every few days'

'While I'm still taking Prozac, I'm only having one every few days'

My therapist helped me to confront how I truly felt, and then gave me a series of soothing mental scenarios - for example, sitting in the park with my younger self, soaking up the sunshine - that I could summon up when I felt angry.

But was I cured? After six months of treatment I certainly felt different. Jane even called me the perfect man.

It didn't last. A few days after finishing therapy, the awful me returned.

I had taken Jane to an expensive restaurant for her birthday. Over starters, she teased me about not buying her a card. I felt my neck redden and my hand tighten on my wine glass. Here I was spending a fortune on dinner and she was moaning about a card! Nuclear was the only option.

'I've had it with you,' I screamed. 'We're finished!' and flounced out.

Perhaps it's not surprising that Jane turned to Prozac for answers.

I didn't like the idea. I know men who have taken such drugs. They'd all told me they found happiness, but lost their libido - one of the side-effects of anti-depressants. I didn't want to end up a smiley robot with no sex drive.

But, on the other hand, a healthy sex drive wouldn't be much good to me if Jane ended our relationship.

I acquiesced and began taking the medication. After just eight weeks, my rages stopped. Things that once bugged me just didn't seem to matter any more. Prozac had drained me of all my emotional toxicity.

Jane was delighted: 'You're so much better to be with. Promise me you'll never stop taking those pills.' My son declared: 'Dad, you've chilled out at last. What's happened?'

When the small supply of pills Jane had given me ran out, I went to the doctor, who gave me a prescription.

And so, for a whole five months, we didn't have a cross word. My anxiety disappeared. I stopped flouncing, and sulking. I felt like a new man.

But as time passed, I noticed some curious side-effects. I became dreamy and would zone out. I'd be at a dinner party and would stare into space for up to 15 minutes.

I discovered that Prozac was lowering the volume and volatility of my emotions - and not just the negative ones, like anger, but love as well. Instead of passion, all I could feel was a warm, fuzzy contentment. I missed the rollercoaster ride of love.

And, after a time, the effectiveness of the pills seemed to be wearing off. Splinters of irritation were reasserting themselves.

'I'm taking a new course, in cognitive behaviour therapy, where you talk through your feelings to retrain the way you think. But until I manage that, I think for the sake of true love, I'll keep on taking my medication'

I realised the bad me had not disappeared, but was merely in a drug-induced sleep. I worried that any minute, he would awaken and ruin everything between Jane and me.

These fears had terrible consequences. I'd take one, two or even three Prozac a day. I was afraid to see anyone, even Jane, without popping a pill. I was hooked.

At dinner parties, Jane would have to apologise to the hosts for my uninterested dreaminess, and when we got home I would have to apologise to her for my lack of interest in sex.

Then, after six months, we had a row. We were clothes shopping and I was narky about the fact she kept wanting me to try on suits.

But even though I didn't flounce, raise my voice or do any of my usual wild finger pointing, our argument proved to me there are no instant fixes. I had fallen for the modern myth that you can just pop a pill, alter your personality and solve your problems.

So while I'm still taking Prozac, I'm only having one every few days.

I think I'm much better on them than off, and so does Jane. But I also now realise that chemistry alone cannot make me the man I want to be; only I can do that.

I'm taking a new course, in cognitive behaviour therapy, where you talk through your feelings to retrain the way you think. But until I manage that, I think for the sake of true love, I'll keep on taking my medication.

Box clever: Milla Jovovich poses among cardboard as she continues to perform at Venice art festival

She's appeared in movies and on catwalks across the globe so some may think Milla Jovovich has displayed all of the strings to her bow.

But it seems the model has found another form of expressing herself in a bid to keep occupied.

The 37-year-old has been busy this week turning herself into a living piece of art work as part of the Venice Biennale art festival.

And on Wednesday she continued her role play - surrounded by cardboard boxes.

The brunette stunner was seen looking wide eyed and writhing around the many boxes which fell on top of her as onlookers watched on.

At one point she even completely disappeared with only her hands still visible as she got so into it she got completely immersed under the boxes.

Performing for artist Tara Subkoff, Milla spent the afternoon with just the graffiti heavy boxes for company.

She was later seen taking her shoes off as she stood next to an intricate dressing table mirror, again surrounded by cardboard boxes.

Earlier in the week she again performed an unusual piece in the Italian city.

This time the 37-year-old showed off her incredibly toned figure in nude negligee as she turned herself into a living artwork as part of the famed Venice Biennale art festival on Tuesday.

Milla, who teamed up with US artist Tara Subkoff to create the piece, was installed in a glass box sparsely decorated with opulent furniture in the Italian city.

The Resident Evil star played a character for five hours, and was only allowed to communicate with the outside world using electronic devices like tablets and phones.

She was seen pinning her hair up while looking in a mirror, and also sitting on a bench putting on her shoes while people watched her performance from the outside.

The actress looked gorgeous in the flimsy underwear, opting not to wear a bra for the occasion.

She wore her brown hair pinned up and sported thick black liner that made her blue eyes pop.

She donned pretty patent leather orange flats that added colour to her outfit.

Milla tweeted a series of excited messages in the run-up to the event, writing: 'Hey every1! I'm about to start the performance piece w #tarasubkoff I now #fakemilla for the nxt 5 hrs. Goodbye real milla.'

It wasn't clear why, but during the performance her house started to fill with a large number of cardboard boxes, which seemed to unsettle the star.

'This is a bit overwhelming. how did i end up getting this much stuff?! lolol! i swear i'm very simple normally.'
