• 6/11/2009 - Beautiful Smile and Love

The poor are very wonderful people. One evening we went out and we picked up four people from the street. And one of them was in a most terrible condition £¬and I told the sisters: You take care of the other three. I take care of this one who looked worse. So I did for her all that my love wow goldcan do. I put her in bed, and there was such a beautiful smile on her face. She took hold of my hand as she said just the words “thank you” and she died. I could not help but examine my conscience before her and I asked what would I say if I was in her place. And my answer was very simple. I would have tried to draw a little attention to myself. I would have said I am hungry, that I am dying, I am cold, I am in pain, or something, but she gave me much more-she gave me her grateful love. And she died with a smile on her face. As did that man whom we picked up from the drain, half eaten with worms, and we brought him to the home. “I have lived like an animal in the street, but I am going to die like an angel, loved and cared for.” And it was so wonderful to see the wow gold eurgreatness of that man who could speak like that, who could die like that without blaming anybody, without cursing anybody, without comparing anything. Like an angel-this is the greatness of our people. And that is why we believe what Jesus had said: I was hungry, I was naked, I was homeless, I was unwanted, unloved, uncared for, and you did it to me. ¡¡¡¡I believe that we are not real social workers. We may be doing social work in the eyes of the people, but we are really contemplatives in the heart of the world. For we are touching the body of Christ twenty-four hours…And I think that in our family we don’t need bombs and guns, to destroy, to bring peace, just get wow gold eurtogether, love one another, bring that peace, that joy, that strength of presence of each other in the home. And we will be able to overcome all the evil that is in the world. ¡¡¡¡And with this prize that I have received as a Prize of Peace, I am going to try to make the home for many people who have no home. Because I believe that love begins at home, and if we can create a home for the poor I think that more and more love will spread. And we will be able through this understanding love to bring peace be the good news to the poor. The poor in our own family first, in our country and in the world. To be able to do this, our Sisters, our lives have to be wove with prayer. They have to be woven with Christ to be able to understand, to be able to share. Because to be woven with Christ is to be able to understand, to be able to share. Because today there is so much suffering…When I pick up a person from the street, hungry, I give him a plate of rice, a piece wow goldof bread, I have satisfied. I have removed that hunger. But a person who is shut out, who feels unwanted, unloved, terrified, the person who has been thrown out from society-that poverty is so full of hurt and so unbearable…And so let us always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love, and once we begin to love each other naturally we want to do something.

• 6/11/2009 - Life rule

Mufasa: Look, Simba, everything the light touches is our kingdom. Simba: Wow! Mufasa: A king’s time as ruler rises and falls like the sun. One day, Simba, the sun will set on my time here and will rise wow goldwith you as the new king. Simba: And this all be mine? Mufasa: Everything! Simba: Everything the light touches! What about that shadowy place? Mufasa: That’s beyond our borders, you must never go there, Simba. Simba: But I thought a king can do whatever he wants. Mufasa: Oh, there’s more to being a wow goldking than getting your way all the time. Simba: There’s more? Mufasa: Simba, everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures from the 1)crawling ant to the 2)leaping 3)antelope. Simba: But dad, don’t we eat the antelope? Mufasa: Yes, Simba. But let me explain. wow goldWhen we die, our bodies become the grass and the antelopes eat the grass, and so we are all connected in a great circle of life. Simba, let me tell you something that my father told me. Look at the stars the great kings of the past look down on us from those stars. Simba: Really? Mufasa: Yes, so whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you, and so am I.

• 6/11/2009 - To love oneself is a lifelong romance

To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance. ¡¡¡¡—Oscar Wilde ¡¡¡¡Love yourself. Love the things that make you you.Your values and talents and memories.Your clothes, your nose, your woes. If you wow goldlove yourself, you can jump into your life from a springboard of self-confidence. If you love yourself, you can say what you want to say, go where you want to go. ¡¡¡¡The world can be a tough place, and some of the billions of people out there will try to knock you down. Don’t join them. Do things that make you proud, then take pride in what you do. And in who you are. ¡¡¡¡Who are you anyway? What makes you you? How are you like your siblings and neighbors and friends? How are you different? If you were wow goldyour own secret admirer, what would you most admire? ¡¡¡¡“My great mistake, the fault for which I can’t forgive myself,” Oscar Wilde wrote, “is that one day I ceased my obstinate pursuit of my own individuality.” Keep pursuing your individuality. Keep being yourself. Becoming yourself. It can be comforting to dress and act like everyone else. But it is grander to be different, to be unique, to be you. ¡¡¡¡I’m the only me in the whole wide wow goldworld. ¡¡¡¡There is always one true inner voice. Trust it. ¡¡¡¡—Gloria Steinem ¡¡¡¡Sometimes it’s hard to know who you are and what you want and whom you like and why you like that person. The answers change because you’re changing. Growing. ¡¡¡¡But deep inside, you are you.You were you as a baby, you were you as a kid, and you are you right now. ¡¡¡¡“Let me listen to me and not to wow goldthem,” wrote Gertrude Stein. It makes sense to consider the advice and opinions of other people. But don’t let their noise drown out your inner voice. And don’t let the way you sometimes talk or behave in front of others make you lose sight of who you are when you are alone, when you are most you. ¡¡¡¡“You can live a lifetime and, at the end of it, know more about other people than you know about yourself,” aviator Beryl Markham wow goldcautioned. Get acquainted with yourself. Tune in to the dreams you have by day and by night. Blend in when you choose to, but appreciate what sets you apart. “The more I like me, the less I want to pretend to be other people,” said Jamie Lee Curtis. ¡¡¡¡Anybody can be one of the crowd.
