A contract was awarded to Ideker, Inc. to resurface the .88 miles of Business Loop 35 from Interstate 35 west to U.S. Highway 69 in Cameron. Motorists should expect single lane closures with a 12-foot width restriction while crews work 24 hours a day, seven days a week until the work is complete around the end of July. Contractors will repair portions of the concrete in preparation of the resurfacing treatment during the first week; then the resurfacing portion of the project will begin. Guardrail will be replaced and the striping finished later in July. No work will be performed during the Independence Day holiday. This project is part of a $1.65 million award that includes resurfacing of various routes near and in Cameron. Other improvements include resurfacing 6.9 miles of Route 33, .74 miles of Business 36 and 2.47 miles of U.S.
