| not every "survivor: samoa" fan likes the hidden immunity idol; in fact, i'm betting mbt women shoes that some people out there would just like to see one tribe run the table. if one tribe dominates early, shouldn't they have the right to dominate late? here's my argument in response to that: even with the idols in play they still can; it all comes down to a matter of strategy.as we are learning, galu doesn't have a very good strategy. once again, the group of seven was too cocky in thinking that they had russell sent halfway back to "new orleans" to mourn the loss of his imaginary dog. it's too bad none of them bothered to look for the idol!the worst reward everthe reward challenge was great in that the winning "tribe" (really five people chosen at random) would have an opportunity women mbt shoes to get mbt shoes tariki a relaxing afternoon at a rock slide along with a picnic. however, as russell so eloquently stated, who would take food over finding an idol?therefore, when a tribe made up entirely of former galu members won, it was a big break for the foa foa 4. it was plenty of time to wander around camp (and everywhere nearby) looking for an idol. russell didn't know one was there, but he had to look. after all, he had nothing to lose with his head on the line. his strategy was actually pretty brilliant: look near any landmark that could be mentioned in a potential clue somewhere. it worked, and he managed to snag yet another idol for team foa foa. (as masai shoes for everyone else, i'm assuming natalie was playing the social game with laura, mick was not sticking his neck out to cause trouble, and jaison was still pumping his fists over getting erik out.)this time, though, russell was smart about it: instead of waving the idol in everyone's face, he kept it to his fellow former tribe members and shambo (who very well could be foa foa at this point).here's where this "reward challenge" gets funny. the galu people all know there is an idol out there, but they don't bother looking for it (at least not according to the editing). as a matter of fact, my good man danger dave thinks that nobody else would have been crafty enough to look for it at all. oh dave...you're funny sometimes. |
